Dhampus Sarangkot Hike is a short, easy and jovial hike to some amazing viewpoints near the picturesque valley of Pokhara. The hike is intended for a relaxing walk along with the lushness of mother nature accompanied by the magnificence of snowcapped mountains in the backdrop. The hike starts from Pokhara, the city of lakes. Also, known as a lakeside city, the city is one of the most frequented tourist places in Nepal; both for domestic and foreign visitors. The city has various lakes and is placed in the backdrop of beautiful Annapurna massif. Wherever you go within the city, the mountains are sure to follow you! The lakeside area is one of the best places in the city. The serene lake, colorful boats, vibrant environment with lush hills and mountains on sight! Lakeside is probably the best site to spend some quality time within the wonders of mother nature.

Pokhara city has access to both – Dhampus and Sarangkot which are the major attractions of our hike. These locations are known for the mesmerizing views of sunrise and set midst the snow-clad mountains. Also, the place offers some outstanding views of mountains in Annapurna panorama. No wonder, Dhampus, and Sarangkot are two popular viewpoints in the Annapurna region. The hike starts with a short drive from Pokhara to Phedi. From Phedi, we follow a trail that runs through the cultivated farmlands and interesting Gurung villages to Dhampus with spectacular views of Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Macchapucchre on sight.

Dhampus is a popular Gurung village near Pokhara. As we walk pass the streets of the village, we can get some insights on Gurung people, their culture and lifestyle. A night in Dhampus will help us enjoy the warm hospitality of cheerful Gurung people in the village. There is a viewpoint in Dhampus Danda from where we can applaud some striking views of mountains in the Annapurna range. Even the sunrise/sunset views from this place is a rejuvenating experience. Leaving Dhampus, we follow a lush trail that will lead us to Sarangkot.

Sarangkot is a beautiful viewpoint that lies just above the Pokhara valley. Once you reach the place, you will connect with the mountains instantly. The snow clad mountains right before our eyes; it feels as if we could just stay there and admire the mountains for hours. Sarangkot is also a starting point for various adventure activities available in Pokhara like paragliding, zip flyer, etc. As we explore around the Sarangkot, we can see the incredible views of Pokhara down below. Colorful paraglide swirling in the sky, zipline across the Pokhara, happy people and grandeur of mountains above us, everything about Sarangkot is so enchanting. Trip Itinerary

In the morning, after your breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel for the Dhampus Sarangkot hike. At first, we drive to Phedi, the starting point of our trek and start walking towards Dhampus. It’s three to four hours walk along the lush terraced fields, hamlets and forests to Dhampus. We even pass some settlement areas on the way to Dhampus. Upon arrival, we walk up to Dhampus Danda to catch the sunset views amidst the snow-clad mountains. Tonight at Dhampus

We wake up early to catch the views of the sunrise amidst the mountains from Dhampus Danda. After enjoying some majestic views of the mountains, we come back to our hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we set out for our journey to Sarangkot. We follow a trail that runs through the crop fields, settlement areas and lush hills with appealing views of Himalayan ranges in the backdrop. Upon arrival, we can enjoy some majestic views of mountains like Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Macchapucchre from Sarangkot. In the early morning, we enjoy the glorious views of the sunrise amidst the Annapurna massif. The bird's chirp, pristine air and fresh views of mountains, it’s truly a magical experience. After the sunrise and mountain views, we explore the area for a while and return back to our hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we catch a vehicle that will drive us back to Pokhara. Once in Pokhara, you will be dropped at your hotel in Pokhara.
