Everest Chola Pass trek is one of the famous and challenging Trek which is the stairway to the highly-recognized Sherpa residence and to the tallest mountain of the world, the Mt. Everest. Marked as one of the most adventurous treks to the Khumbu Mountains. This trek takes you to Gokyo which is believed to be one of the most astounding views in the Khumbu region. Accompanied by the panoramic view of exceptional mountains this trek, in particular, gives you an eyeful view of mountain sights and glaciers. Enriched with Himalayan species, the colorful rhododendron and magnolia floral welcome you throughout the splendor of your path. You will also get a chance to visit monasteries in almost all of the villages during your trek in order to wake up your spiritual soul. 
The journey starting from an interesting Himalayan flight at Lukla to your departure, every bit of your journey will be memorable and enduring. Come prepared to be fascinated by the discrete shapes of Icebergs and the cracking sound of that glacier.

Trip Itinerary

On this day you will arrive in Nepal at the only International Airport of Nepal that is Tribhuvan International Airport. You will be accompanied by our fellow correspondents. You might want to rest and then enjoy your welcome dinner followed by cultural performances.

This day is separated for you to prepare for the astounding journey that is waiting for you. You will be instructed about all the trekking arrangements and the packing list and will be discussing your expectations. This day can be significant to most of the people before commencing the journey. Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu is voluntary, you can visit a number of world heritage sites inside the valley.

Lukla flight is a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu. Flight to Lulka will make you realize that this trip is going to be one of a kind. The flight to Lukla is considered to be a flight with one of the most spectacular landing. Not at a very big height, Lukla is perched at 2,850 m above sea level which is regarded as the gateway to Everest. You will stay overnight at Phakding.

Your route passes through a pine forest as we proceed your walk on the trail that goes up the Benkar valley. You will cross Dudh Koshi River and pass Monjo village before reaching the entrance of the Everest National Park. A suspension bridge takes you to Jorsale village. We mount on a steep track and reach Namche Bazaar which is seemingly the largest township in the Everest region. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

On this day you can tour Namche Bazaar which is the primitive town of the Khumbu region and has government offices, ATMs, internet cafes, shops, restaurants, and a colorful market. You can enjoy other activities like a hike to Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Kongde and so on. You will also visit the Hillary School and monasteries around. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

After a heavy breakfast to be prepared for an exhausting yet exciting hike, you will be trekking he till Phunki considering it to be an easy walk. You go uphill towards Tengboche village which houses the very famous Tengboche monastery. It is located within the Sagarmatha National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which makes it one of the most significant monasteries in the region. The monastery is blessed with scenic views of the Himalayas. If we reach there by 3 o’clock we can witness a Buddhist religious ceremony. Overnight in Tengboche.

You will be descending through a lush forest with rhododendron tresses and scenic view of the snow capped mountains. You will walk descend to cross the Imja River to enter Pangboche. You will take the upper Pangboche trail and cherish the Himalayan sight and the Pangboche Monastery. You will continue your walk to the Imja Valley and Lobuche River before going uphill to Dingboche. Dingboche is a scenic village with fine barley and potato fields.

After a day in Dingboche, you will acclimate to the high altitude. Instead of waiting down, we climb a range settled following the village and see six of the world’s tallest peaks including Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. You will also see more Himalayan peaks rising above the Khumbu Khola Valley. Among those peaks, Lobuche East, and Lhotse are the most prevailing. From another area on the range, you can also relish the pictorial  Dingboche village. Overnight at Dingboche.

This day is a comparatively brief journey from Dingboche to Duglha. You travel across a wide pass which is a substantial wanted transition from walking in a straight line.  About the commencement of your trek today you will be accompanied by the mighty Himalayas on all sides. As the path we take starts to go downhill and curves, we bid goodbye to Mt. Pumori. 

You mount to the steep final moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. The peak of the range is filled with prayer flags which are memorials for climbers who lost their lives on Mt. Everest. As the path descends to the Khumbu Glacier, you find yourself meeting abundant prominent mountains. As you cross Khumbu Glacier you can also get a view of Mt. Nuptse. Overnight in Lobuche.

The trek to Everest Base Camp is not really challenging. Nevertheless, we climb up and decline often on an iceberg path. There is additionally a lot of rambling on rough territories. You will have to wake up early for the walk up to Kala Patthar. As you climb up the hill you encounter Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse mountains. The view from the top is extraordinary. We can see the world’s tallest mountain Everest along other magnificent Himalayan peaks. After spending some time at the top of Kala Patthar, you walk and head back to Gorakhshep. From there, after lunch, you will take a downstream from Lobuche Khola and head to a unworn trail to Dzongla where you will stay overnight.

You start your day early in the morning. After about 3 hours of trek you reach Chola-Pass, the great deal here is that before you reach the Chola Pass you have to be on the ice for about twenty minutes. It can definitely sound challenging and it, in fact, is challenging but it's worth it as at the end of the day this is going to be the best part of your trek. If good weather favors us you can pass the route without any types of equipment, in case of bad weather you might need ax and other trek equipment. Overnight in Thangnak.

You won't have to walk for too long today. A 4 hours walk will take you to Gokyo Lake.  On crossing bridge, you will be walking through Ngajumpa glacier and will reach the first lake which is known as Longopongo. You will encounter Lama footprints on some of the stone. Eventually, you will reach Taboche Tsho, the second lake which is dark navy blue in color. The lake shining with rays of sunlight will make you cherish and mesmerize the feeling of absolute bliss. Dudh Pokhari, the third lake will take you to Gokyo village which gives you panoramic views of Gyachung Kang, Lhotse, Makalu, and several other peaks. The magnificent view you get once you reach the peak is satisfying.

You might want to spend a day in Gokyo hiking up to some peaks or just mesmerizing the lake and taking the bliss. After about 30 minutes of an early morning walk, you reach the top with traditional prayer flags. You get the view of Ngozumpa glacier which is also regarded to be the biggest glacier. You also get to see the wonderful view of the fourth and fifth lake, Thonak Tsho and Ngozuma Tsho. Past noon you will descend to dole where you might want to climb a range for the better view of the entire valley.

You will go downhill steeply through forests of rhododendrons. After crossing a bridge over a suspension bridge you will arrive in Phortse Thanga. Through a sandy slope, you go uphill to Dudhkoshi river and eventually reach Namche valley on several ascends. Overnight in Namche valley.

Regarded to be one of the most challenging descend, this day can perhaps be the hardest day of your entire trek to Everest Chola Pass Trek The pathway goes downhill from rocky ranges and villages of Tokthok which is enriched with scattered pines. Even though the trek is downhill you still might have an adverse effect on your knees. However, on crossing a high suspension bridge the mesmerizing views of pine forests and distance snow-capped mountains will heal over the pain, From Phakding through the lust forest, you will continue your trek to Lukla through a Sherpa residence area and magnificent mountain views. Overnight in Lukla.

You catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you can take a rest or do some regular shopping by the streets of Thamel and Basantapur. This day you can enjoy various cultural heritages of Kathmandu enlisted in the UNESCO world heritage site. 

You have a free day in Kathmandu. You can spend the day doing souvenir shopping or going round nearby cities around Kathmandu on this day. There will be a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the climbers’ successful summit,
