From Nayapul, the trail to Ghorepani Poonhill ascends up slowly through the foothills of Annapurna. We pass some interesting villages and lush hills on the way to Ghorepani. Trip Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Nepal through the Tribhuvan International Airport, our staff will welcome you and transfer you to your respective hotels. After having lunch and relaxing at your hotel, the guide will brief you about the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek and will also suggest you on the checklist for your backpack. 

This day has been set aside for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. You can take suggestions from your guide on the places to visit. You can visit the UNESCO world heritage sites like Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan Courtyards or you can even visit the Narayanhiti Museum which was once the Palace of the Ex-King of Nepal. If you are spiritual, then you can catch a glimpse of Pashupatinath Temple can even visit the Swayambhunath Temple and Boudhanath Temple. There are numerous cultural heritage sites around the Kathmandu valley that you can visit on this day. Stay overnight at Hotel. 

Early in the morning, you will take the tourist bus and head towards the naturally beautiful city of Pokhara which is a 7-8 hours drive. The bus ride is very memorable since the natural beauty of the green hills and the mountains at a distance will be imprinted in your mind. You will pass Muglin, Gorkha and then reach Prithvi Narayan Chowk, until finally reaching your respective hotel. You will stay close to Fewa Lake for a beautiful view. 

On this day, after having breakfast, you will be driven to Nayapul which is the entrance to most o the treks in the Annapurna Region and also to the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. On this day, you will trek towards Tikhedhunga. Along the way, you will pass Birethani and walk alongside Modi Khola. Throughout the path, you will be amazed by flora and fauna found in the region with pine forests and rhododendron growing above. Also, you will see the beautiful waterfalls along the way. You can intermingle with the Chhetri community residing in the region. Upon reaching Tikhedhunga stay overnight at lodge. 

From Tikhedhunga we will walk uphill towards Ghorepani which will be somewhat challenging as we walk in stone paved long stairs.You will be amazed to see the close up views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre as  you hike upward. The weather starts getting colder as you climb uphill. Overnight stay at Ghorepani.

The further trek will then lead us to Poonhill  which is the highlight of this journey. Although the walk is short, the uphill trail  can be somewhat challenging. At Poon Hill you will  be welcomed by up close views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri and many others neighbouring himalayas. You can stay for a while taking pictures of Gurung Community and interact with them, They offer rent of their traditional dress to take pictures. The thatched roofs of mud-clad houses and the Rhododendron forest along the way, getting so much closer to the clouds will be an unforgettable experience you will get.  After spending some time at Poonhill we will move towards tadapani for an overnight stay.

On this day we will leave Tadapani and hike towards Ghandruk which is relatively easier than the previous one. At Ghandruk we possibly be staying at some lodge or homestay. Staying at a homestay itself offers many new experiences and we will get an opportunity to interact with native people, experience their way of living and enjoy their meals. Local food and drinks are the highlights of this region and you will have time to spend few hours at Annapurna Conservation office and museum.

You will be tracing your steps back as you head towards pokhara from Ghandruk. A relatively easy downhill will lead us to Nayapul. At Nayapul a tourist bus will drive us to the beautiful city of Pokhara. We will stay at respective hotel and you can enjoy your late afternoon and evening with your friends and family chilling  out at some restaurant enjoy evening life lakeside or go the bars and pubs and have some drinks.

On this day, you will be heading towards Kathmandu. Depending on your preference of travel you can head towards Kathmandu. It will take 6/7 hours by drive or 15 min by flight. You can enjoy rambling on the streets of Thamel upon arrival or buy a souvenir to take  it back as a remembrance or gift it to your loved ones. There are plenty of things you can do in Thamel

Every beautiful journey has its end, and this is the last day of you stay in this beautiful country Nepal and completion of the awesome Ghorepani Poonhill Trek. You will be taken to Tribhuvan International Airport for departure.
