Chaurandi is the starting point of the Trishuli river rafting. It is 85 km west from Kathmandu. It can be reached in just 3 to 3.5 hours from Kathmandu city. The rafting point is very accessible to anyone. One can go to the spot form Kathmandu, enjoy rafting and return back in just a single day. Also, the rafting point lies on the highway road to Pokhara and Chitwan. So, one can easily plan their journey to Pokhara or Chitwan from Charaundi. Pokhara is around four hours’ drive from Charaundi and one can reach Chitwan from here in just an hour's time. 

One can enjoy rafting in the Trishuli river for one to three days covering a 15-60 km route. Actually two days and the one-night package is the best package to opt for rafting. The rafting journey starts from Charaundi and ends at Mugling. 

Surprisingly, Trishuli river rafting is suitable for first-time rafters and people from any age group. Though the river consists of numerous rapids, it is suitable for everyone.
